July 1st - Pray for the Doctors
On July 1st we celebrate the Doctors Day in India. This day has been chosen in India, as a mark of respect to the contributions made by Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, who left an indelible mark in the history of medical profession in India. As a Jesus Youth can we make it a point to give our dear doctors in the movement and all the doctors in the world a 'Prayer gift" recognizing them and also pray that they may be granted the grace from above to live a life pleasing to the Lord and a life of service to humanity.
We request you to join us as one family to intercede for our dear doctors to become beacons of light to society and that they may have the strength to stand up for life and respect it, though may times it remains a challenge and a contradiction in our times.
You could join us in any or all the following ways:
- Attend mass on July 1st and offer it for the doctors of the movement and the rest of the doctors of the world.
- Recite a rosary or atleast a decade of the rosary for the doctors on July 1st.
- Organise a gathering of Doctors/medical students in your region / hospital / college to pray together as one family. (e.g. adoration, outreach etc)
P.s. Please do collect the number of masses, number of rosaries / decades or even if you are planning to organise an event in this regard and keep us informed at 9035541824 or doctors@jesusyouth.org

Health Care Gathering - Mangalore
A health care gathering was organized in Mangalore, with the help of the Jesus Youth of Mangalore. A total of 150 participants, representing various parts of the health care ministry were present.
A very meaningful skit, which was choreographed and enacted by the students of Father Muller Medical College, touched the gathering deeply. The theme of the skit was the role of health care professionals in bringing meaning to life. It also carried a strong message on being 'pro-life'.
A session taken by Dr.John Ramapuram stressed on the need for Catholic doctors to grow beyond being a stereotypical doctor, and about the many things we can do as JY health care professionals. The gathering closed with the holy Eucharistic, celebrated by Fr.Rudolf, who pointed out that as Catholic health care professionals we should look at our roles, as a vocation, rather than only a profession.
