Team with The Superior of Shobhana Shakha

A two day meeting took place on 18th and 19th of August12 at Shobhana Shaakha Sacred Heart of Betharram, Bangalore. All team members were present. Mr.Siljo Thomas (Jesus Youth International Team) joined in.The team discussed on various issues and on how to look forward in reaching out to more doctors especially focusing on mission.

Jesus Youth Doctors Intercession Month - February 2012

There are 3 great things that are happening this month:

• Holy Father's Prayer Intentions (Missionary intention, FEB 2012): Health Workers. That the Lord may sustain the efforts of health workers assisting the sick and elderly in the world's poorest regions.
• CBCI Health commission - Healing week (February 6 - February 12).
• World day of the sick (February 11)

Let us as a Jesus Youth family join the mother church in praying for the Doctors and 'To become doctors' during this month.

You can come and join us in this intercession month in many ways:

• You can simply spend five minutes each day and pray for each intention and then offer 1 Our father, 3 Hail Mary's and 1 Glory be.
• You can offer Holy mass or offer rosaries, divine mercy chaplet or fasting and praying for the intention.

You can do all this on a personal basis or if you are a part of the prayer group you can together take up the commitment to pray.

29 hours Adoration

• We encourage each doctor/medical student prayer meeting to set aside one hour any time in the month of February to spend one hour in adoration before the Lord praying for these needs. (Contact us at the details given below)

One day program - Bangalore

A one day gathering for the Medical Students and Doctors in Bangalore was held on the 19th of Jan 2012 at St. Thomas Forane Church. This was an initiative of Jesus Youth Doctors Network Bangalore. The gathering was attended by around 25 Medical Students and Doctors from St John’s Medical College, Bangalore Medical College and Dr Ambedkar Medical College. The gathering started at about 9.30am and concluded by 6.00pm. The sessions were handled by Vijay Sebastian and Alex Njavally. A short post lunch video session focused on giving the essence of Christian values. There was also a panel sharing coordinated by Joemon Varghese. Dr. Sudeep, Dr. Brigit, Dr. Martis, Dr. Joseph and Dr. Mary were part of the panel. The gathering concluded with preparation for adoration, followed by adoration lead by Fr Rajeev. There was Intercession before the Blessed Sacrament all throughout the gathering in a small chapel beside the hall. The guidance, support and motivation of Fr Thomas Kallukulam (Parish priest of St. Thomas Church and previous Jesus Youth Bangalore Animator) were present throughout.

Medicos on mission with Ecclesiastical Advisor

Mr.Bibin, Mr.Aneesh and Mr.Anston, following their mission at Chattisgarh visited the Ecclesiastical advisor of Jesus Youth, Archbishop Abraham Viruthakulangara at his office in Nagpur.

They had a wonderful time sharing and learning from him.

One day program - Raipur

A one day program took place at Raipur on the 27th of November 2011. 30 Medical students and doctors were present for this gathering. Dr.Celine Kujur (NDCT), Ms.Renu bala (JYNT) along with Mr.Bibin, Mr.Aneesh and Mr.Anston (Medicos for mission), took the sessions and shared their testimonies.

Visit to Hyderabad

A two day visit by Dr.Neelam Rundae (NDCT member) to hyderabad took place on 16th and 17th November. During this visit she met the Doctors in the region and encouraged them to grow in the lord and gather together once in a while to pray. She also meet other Jesus Youth in the area and interacted with them.
